I have tried the win2k drivers on the CD which was supplied, but they do not work. I've already tried the generic drivers on the Conexant website (both HSF and HCF). The CD which came with it was designed for Win9x, so it's no help whatsoever. I know for certain that the modem is a Conexant Soft56 HSF Modem, Vendor 127A. From what I remember, the original driver I had seemed to be a Win2k one which had been modifed to trick WinXP into thinking it was a WinXP driver. I have worked my way around this by plugging a 3.5mm stereo plug into the speaker out socket on my modem. I'm currently using the Aztech Soft56k modem driver, which works, apart from the fact that the speaker does not shut up after it connects. Somehow I have lost my backup CD, so I cannot install the proper driver. The person I bought the computer from claimed that the driver was on the "Windows XP 3 CD".

I originally had it, when I bought my computer, and I had burnt it onto a CD for backup purposes.
